Deleting your data
In short. Write to support@erpisy.com with the subject "Data deletion request" from the email you sign in with. We confirm within 72 hours and finish within 30 days, except for business records the law requires to be kept, which are deleted when that period ends.
1. A WhatsApp account you connected
If your business connected its own WhatsApp Business account to ERPisy through Facebook / Meta, ERPisy keeps only that account's ids, phone number, display name and an encrypted access token. To remove them:
- In ERPisy, open Settings → WhatsApp and choose Disconnect. ERPisy deletes the access token at once and stops receiving updates for the account.
- Optionally, also remove ERPisy from your Meta business: in Meta Business Suite open Settings → Integrations → Connected apps (or Business integrations) and remove ERPisy. ERPisy treats that as a disconnect too.
The record of messages your business sent stays with your business's records (section 3).
2. Your own account
- If you were added to a business by its owner, ask the owner to remove you. You can also write to us.
- When your account is deleted and you belong to no other business, we remove your name, email and phone number from it and you can no longer sign in. Bills and entries you made stay in the business's books, which the business must keep, and show that a removed person made them.
3. A whole business
- Export first. While you can sign in, export your data from ERPisy, or ask us for a full export.
- Ask us to close the business. Write from the owner's email. Nobody can sign in to a closed business.
- What the law requires us to keep. Indian law requires businesses to keep their books of account and the documents behind them for years (for example eight years under the Companies Act, 2013, with comparable periods under the CGST Act, 2017 and the Income-tax Act). So a closed business's data is kept, unused, for eight years from closing and then deleted for good, unless you ask for it to be deleted sooner.
- Deleting sooner. The owner may ask in writing for the business's data to be deleted before then, confirming that the business will keep the records the law requires by itself. Every row of the business's data is then deleted in one step, and cannot be recovered.
4. If you are a shop's customer
If a shop that uses ERPisy has your name or number (on a bill, or for WhatsApp receipts and reminders), the shop decides how it is used. Ask the shop to correct or delete it, or to stop WhatsApp messages; it can do that in ERPisy at any time. You may also write to us and we will pass your request on and help the shop act on it. Some details on bills must be kept by the shop for tax purposes.
